D Series Step (DL600)

D Series Steps:
The Stayco fold-out double step offers a simple alternative to an under-floor or a flip-over step. In many cases it can dispense with the need to create a step well in the vehicle bodywork. Stayco supply two versions of this manually operated double step for side door entrances. The DL600S is suitable for vehicles with floor heights from 470mm to 550mm and the DN600S for floor heights from 550mm to 700mm. These steps are operated standing outside the vehicle. They stow fully into the vehicle assisted by tension springs mounted on each side of the step. When stowed they clear the closed door of the vehicle. An optional handrail kit will enable deployment and stowage of the step standing inside the vehicle and will also provide a handrail to one side of the step when it is deployed.
The widths of these steps can be easily adjusted to accommodate specific application requirements. However, Stayco do not recommend units wider than 700mm or narrower than 450mm.
DL600 Step:
The DL600 is deployed standing outside the vehicle and simply pulling on the grab handle to swing the step out through the doorway and lower it to its fully deployed position. It is stowed again from standing outside the vehicle and lifting the grab handle to fold it back through the doorway until it is fully folded and retained by the anti-rattle spring clips. The weight of the step is counterbalanced by the tension springs mounted each side of the step unit.
