The BAS team had the pleasure of visiting Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) last week to discuss an exciting new partnership between the two companies. Dave Thompson MBE, Chief Executive of WDP hosted a tour of the centre and he gave the team a real insight into the charity and it’s history.
Warrington Disability Partnership is an internationally acclaimed user led charity with over 24 years’ experience of developing and delivering mobility and independent living services. Their main aim is to support disabled people and people living with long term health conditions. Their team of 40 staff and nearly 200 volunteers believe that information, advice and guidance are the main keys to independent living. Since their launch in 1991 they have designed, developed and delivered 27 mobility and independent living services, many of which are based in their Centre for Independent Living (CIL) in Warrington.
BAS are extremely excited to be working with WDP and the companies share the same ethos and vision, to ensure that disabled people life a ‘life without boundaries’. Not only will BAS ensure that WDP’s customers have their Vehicle Adaptation needs met, they will also be supporting the charity by acting as a main sponsor for the internationally acclaimed Disability Awareness Day, taking place on July 15th 2017.
