Launched just under 3 months ago, the BAS Protective Screens have had an overwhelming response and we are thrilled that we have enabled many businesses to return to work and be able to offer their services as quickly and as safely as possible.
When deciding to launch the screens the safety of the products was of the utmost importance to us and as the screens have undergone extensive EU testing and are available with an Automotive Homologation Certificate of Compliance, we as a company felt assured in offering these to the UK market.
One of the many big companies who showed an interest in the screens was Heathrow Airport for use in their buggies, which are designed to transport disabled and less mobile passengers around the terminals and after a meeting between the airport and our MD Bill Bradley, the work was scheduled to be completed in August.
Last week MD Bill and now accompanied by Technical Director Scott, travelled to Heathrow and began the fitting process. Each buggy has had 3 large screens and 1 small screen fitted to them and these have provided a protective barrier between the driver and the passengers who are being transported around the airport, helping to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The remaining work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the month.
Commenting on the work for Heathrow, Bill said “This is just one example of how these screens are enabling businesses to get back to work as safely as possible. The screens are giving confidence to both businesses and customers and we really hope we can get more businesses resuming their services, without feeling the need to compromise on the number one priority, which of course is safety!”
