Our very own MD and Owner Bill Bradley has taken on the huge challenge of cycling 2500 miles to raise much needed funds for Warrington Disability Partnership. Read Bill’s story below….
“My name is Bill Bradley and I have been working very closely with Dave Thompson and the team at Warrington Disability Partnership for several years now. I first became aware of Dave and his charity through my business, BAS (NW) Ltd. We are Vehicle Adaptation Specialists who supply and fit adaptations for disabled drivers. Our shared interest in supporting people with disabilities to be able to live a ‘life without boundaries’ brought us together and I am proud to be a non-executive Director for the charity’s trading arm Disability Trading Company.
I have seen first hand the positive impact WDP makes on the lives of disabled people and how much they do to support people with disabilities, not only in the local community but nationally and even globally. That is why myself and my Brother-in-Law Ian, are cycling 5000 miles (2500 miles each) to raise money so that WDP can continue to carry out their fantastic work. The pandemic has hit the charity sector extremely hard and we want to do all we can to support them, so that they can continue to change the lives of people living with disabilities.
This year marks the 30th Anniversary of WDP and as part of the celebrations they are hosting the ‘Around the World’ team challenge, where they are asking volunteers to work together to cover the distance around the world, which is 24,901.461 miles. Our 5000 mile cycle will go towards this fantastic challenge!
Any amount would be greatly appreciated and will help to support the fantastic work of WDP!”
