Our very own Operations Director, Carl Birkin, was invited last week for a very special visit with the CEO of Motability, Andrew Miller. BAS were one of a select group of manufacturers who were invited to Q’Straint’s Head Office in Kent to show Motability’s CEO our range of driving adaptations.
The visit was in association with AVAM (The Association of Vehicle Adaptation Manufacturers), of which BAS are a member. AVAM is the trade association representing the manufacturers of vehicle adaptations, supplying products in the UK to drivers and passengers with a disability. It focuses primarily on the improvement of the UK adaptations industry by working collaboratively and with a single unified voice.
Speaking on AVAM and his recent visit to Motabilty, Carl Birkin commented “It was an honour to get to visit Mr Miller last week and to be able to share with him a selection of our products. We are truly proud of the adaptations we manufacture in association with our international partners and for him to be able to see them first hand was very exciting! We are so glad that we can be a part of AVAM and that we are helping to steer this industry in the right direction, in order to improve the lives of people living with disabilities across the UK. ”
