Our Owner and MD, Bill and Operations Director, Carl have just returned from a fantastic trip to Italy to visit their International Partners, Handytech. They were invited as part of the company’s 30th anniversary celebrations and what a great time was had by all.
In 1993, working in collaboration with Okey Technologie and Fiat, Handytech presented the first car with multiple adaptations at the Frankfurt Motor Show. From this they won their first international award and created new products, gaining ministerial approval.
Since then Handytech has become one of the largest manufacturers of mobility devices for people with disabilities in Europe and has been a member of the European Mobility Group since 2015.
It was at this time that BAS started to work in partnership with Handytech and we became their UK distributor, bringing these fantastic products to the UK market. Some of these products include their person hoist, ring accelerators, thumb touch accelerator and various push/pull brake/accelerators.
We are also extremely excited to be bringing Handytech’s range of motorbike adaptations for disabled riders of motorbikes to the UK market. More information will be coming soon on these, so keep your eyes peeled on our website for more news on this!
