We are thrilled to share the news that our Brand Ambassador, Helen Dolphin MBE, has made it on to the Disability Power 100 List. The Disability Power 100 List is an annual publication of the 100 most noteworthy disabled people in the UK.
Since its inception four years ago, it has been a focus for Shaw Trust’s efforts to encourage businesses, employers and other organisations to reflect on opportunities for disabled people. The list plays a vital role in providing much needed motivation to the young and talented leaders of tomorrow, allowing them to see that aspiration and ambition can be fulfilled regardless of disability or impairment.
The Shaw Trust Power 100 list is compiled by an independent judging panel, who are all active influencers of change within the disability sector. The panel represents the broad cross-section of industries and sectors covered in the publication and importantly all members have personal experience of disability.
Helen said “I was so surprised to find out that I made the disability power list. It is a great honour and something I am incredibly proud of. When I lost all my limbs at the age of 22 my life chances seemed really bleak, but I hope I am an example of what you can achieve if you have determination and the will to succeed. I hope my story will help inspire others.”
In addition to making the Power list Helen has also been named this week as one of Norfolk’s 100 most inspiring women.
Well done Helen on this fantastic achievement and we are so proud to have you as our Brand Ambassador! #lifewithoutboundaries
