As a company we are extremely passionate about ensuring that all people, not matter what their disability, can live a life without boundaries.  For many people learning to drive or being able to drive plays a key factor in this and that’s why here at BAS we are working hard to ensure that as many disabled people as possible are able to drive.

A main part of this is educating driving instructors in the UK and making them aware of the many adaptations in the market, which are available to teach people with disabilities how to drive.  We are launching a campaign in the main driving instructor magazines in February which informs them of the various adaptations available and the process undertaken to get these fitted and to teach with them.

Helen Dolphin MBE has recently published an article in which she talks about her “learning to drive” journey after becoming recently disabled.  To read the article click here.
